Centralia Pole Vault Standout Freidel Signs With Kansas
Centralia senior pole vaulter Jake Freidel signed with Kansas track and field last Monday.

Freidel previously attended Father Tolton for two years. Newsted discusses Freidel’s development.
Freidel’s father Brad trains Centralia’s pole vaulters. The senior reflects on his father’s influence.
Freidel landed third at state with a 14-06 last spring. The senior indicates the disappointment fuels him.
When Freidel signed with Kansas last Monday, fellow Centralia senior pole vaulter Lynsie Curtis signed with West Virginia. Senior thrower Lacey Pavlak signed with Kansas State in November. Newsted evaluates the Centralia program’s success after recent Division I signings.
Former Centralia standout Peyton Davis competes for Tennessee track and field. Hear Freidel’s full interview below, and Regional Radio will run a story with comments from Curtis and Pavlak in the coming days.
