Centralia High School announced two coaching hires Tuesday. Elizabeth Bostick will be the new head softball coach after Kendra Murphy’s resignation. Bostick boasts 16 years of coaching experience at various levels, including nine years as a Centralia High School assistant. The new head coach served as Jill Angell’s assistant on four state championship teams.

Centralia named Ben Sontheimer its new head track coach. Sontheimer replaces Jim Newsted, who resigned to become the West Platte head football coach and head boys track coach. Sontheimer brings 14 years of head track experience, including a recent stint at Macon. The new Centralia head track coach assisted the Panthers football team and the Lady Panthers basketball team in his first year at Centralia. Sontheimer planned to assist the Centralia sprinters this spring before the season’s cancellation.
