Centralia Merchants to Host Sweet Treat Saturday

Local merchants in Centralia will be taking part in several events leading up to Christmas. Among them is Sweet Treat Saturday, which will take place from 9 am to noon this Saturday within local businesses in Centralia. Centralia Chamber of Commerce Director Ginny Zoellers says area residents will be able to shop and indulge their sweet tooth during the event.

The Jingle Bell Cookie Sale will be at the First Christian Church. Along with the cookie sale and the sweet treats from local merchants, shoppers will also be able to feast their eyes on the Gingerbread House Displays at Friendship Place. Zoellers says various youth organizations create these displays.

Zoellers expects over 20 gingerbread houses to be on display this year. The person or group with the best gingerbread house will receive a gift certificate to a chamber member business.
