Carter Leads Lady Hounds to Win

B’Aunce Carter’s career-high 26 points led the 13th-ranked Moberly Lady Greyhounds to a 78-65 win over Iowa Western Monday night at Fitzsimmons-John Arena.

J.B. Connoley with the call on KWIX and centralmoinfo.com. Moberly gave up the first four points of the game, then went on a 9-0 run to take the lead for good. Up 32-28, the Lady Hounds started the second half on a 17-0 run, and tacked on another 9-0 run in the final minute of the third quarter to put it out of reach.

Hana Haden was proud of how her team bounced back from the loss to Illinois Central.

As for Carter’s night…

Bryce Dowell and Kayla Langley each added 14 points for Moberly, now 4-1 on the year. Iowa Western falls to 5-2. The Lady Hounds start Region 16 play Wednesday night at Crowder.
