Cairo's Brian Winkler Receives 2024 KRES Girls Coach of The Year Honor

For the second time in his career, Cairo coach Brian Winkler is the KRES Girls Coach of the Year.

After the sectional round the Ladycats rattled off wins over #1 Meadville and #2 Delta, before falling to #3 Platte Valley in the state title game.

It is the fourth time a Cairo coach has won KRES Girls Coach of the Year, with former coach Bob Roberts also receiving the honor twice.
