Bulldogs Swept At Rockhurst

Rockhurst swept Truman State in Kansas City winning the women’s game 88-67 and the men’s contest 92-73 last night.

The Rockhurst men jumped out to a 25 point lead with over six minutes left in the first half. The Bulldogs cut the deficit to 11 by halftime and got as close as four in the second half…

Landon Eiland led four Bulldogs in double figures with 14. The Dogs’ three-game winning streak ends dropping their record to 7-10 and 4-5 in the GLVC. The Hawks move past them in the standings at 5-5 and improve to 9-9 overall.

The Truman women also had a comeback come up short. Trailing by 24 the Bulldogs scored the final 12 points of the third quarter to cut the lead in half. Rockhurst responded by scoring the first 16 points of the fourth quarter. Coach Theo Dean on the difference in the game.

Molly Joyce led Truman with 19 points including 10-of-10 from the free throw line. The Bulldogs drop to 4-13 and 1-10 in the GLVC. Rockhurst improves to 10-6 and 7-5 in the conference. The Hawks are 9-0 at home.
