A big Truman State comeback didn’t produce a win, as the Bulldogs fell at Grand Valley State 85-76 Thursday night in Allendale, Michigan. The Bulldogs trailed by 17 points with just over four minutes to go in the first half. A 25-8 run from the end of the first into the second half helped the ‘Dogs catch up….

The Lakers switched to a zone out of the timeout and outscored the Bulldogs 15-3 the rest of the way. Jake Van Tubbergen led 3-0 Grand Valley with 32 points. Assistant coach Austin McBeth was pleased with the way his guys fought back….

McBeth once again led the team. Head coach Jeff Horner made the trip but wasn’t feeling well and did not come to the game. In his first game back from injury, Cade McKnight scored 19 and Hunter Strait added 18. The Bulldogs drop to 1-2 and will continue this Michigan swing at Davenport on Saturday.
