Budget Work Will Be More Difficult Next Year

The Senate Appropriations Committee and the House Budget Committee are putting in a lot of hours working on the state’s new spending plan. Senator Denny Hoskins from Warrensburg is a veteran member of the committee.
Lawmakers and the administration have both indicated that putting next year’s budget together will be even more challenging than this year’s.
Missouri’s constitution requires a balanced budget, that must be completed by May 7.
