Budget Request Awaits Senate Approval

The Missouri House of Representatives recently passed a request for 627 million dollars for the current budget year. Representative Cheri Toalson Reisch of Hallsville says much of it deals with state worker pay.

Missouri has approximately seven-thousand open positions for state workers. Toalson Reisch says the supplemental budget has other important features.

Missouri’s new fiscal year begins July 1st.
