A Bucklin man was arrested Friday for 43 different counts of first-degree sexual offenses. On August 25th, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office requested the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control to assist with an investigation involving allegations of statutory rape and child molestation. During the investigation, it was determined that during a five-year period, 54-year-old Roger Cupp had committed multiple sexual offenses involving one child. Friday, investigators executed a search warrant at Cupp’s residence on East Truman Street, in Marceline. Troopers located Cupp in Brookfield where he was arrested without incident. The Linn County Attorney’s office has charged Cupp with eleven counts of child molestation, twelve counts of statutory rape with the person being under the age of fourteen, nineteen counts of statutory sodomy with the person being under the age of fourteen, and one count of attempted statutory rape with the person being under the age of fourteen. Cupp was taken to the Macon County Jail and has no bond.
