Brookfield Set to Break Ground on Senior Housing Unit

The City of Brookfield is preparing to break ground on the Halls of Brookfield Apartments. City Manager Dana Tarpening says the final step of preparation was taken last month.

The apartment building will be comprised of three-stories and 40 units for anyone 55-years or older. Tarpening says this project has been a long time coming.

City officials hope ground will be broken by the end of the year. Turnberry Developers LLC of Columbia is overseeing the project.
