Both Truman Teams in the Hunt in the Midwest Region-Women’s Regional Now at Drury

The host site for the NCAA Division II Women’s Midwest Regional has been changed. Originally, it was announced Ashland, Ohio as the site, but it has been changed to Drury University in Springfield. The Panthers, coached by South Shelby graduate Amy Eagan, are ranked 4th in the country. The Truman State women have positioned themselves for a potential bid with a 12-3 record. The Bulldogs were one of eight teams mentioned in schools under consideration in the Midwest Region rankings released on Wednesday.

The DII Men’s Midwest Regional will be staged at the Ford Center in Evansville, which is also the host for the DII Elite Eight. The 15-1 Truman State men were one of eight teams mentioned under consideration in the Midwest Region rankings.

Predetermined regional sites for the DII NCAA Tournaments were announced last week, rather than waiting until after conference tournaments, as part of COVID-19 precautions.
