Both Moberly Teams Win Big Over Marshall

Both Moberly teams picked up road conference wins at Marshall Friday night.

The Moberly boys used a 25 point fourth quarter to pull away and win 72-53. Marshall led by one early in the second quarter before Moberly went on an 11-0 run with both Jaisten Payne and Martez Nabors on the bench in foul trouble.

Austin Ward with the calls on KWIX and centralmoinfo.com. Moberly never trailed again following the run. Zayne Montgomery finished with 15 points. Payne had a game-high 30. Charez Nichols scored 10. Coach Cord Hagedorn evaluated the big final quarter.

Marshall’s Tyson Franklin had a team-high 23 points. The Spartans snapped an eight-game losing streak to Marshall that dated back to 2017.

Moberly improves to 6-9.
