Both the Lady Hounds and Greyhounds claimed a share of the regular season Region 16 and the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference titles with wins Saturday. The men needed overtime to beat West Plains 102-97. The Greyhounds were down eight with under four minutes remaining in regulation before coming back to take the lead.

J.B. Connoley with the call on KWIX and The Grizzlies’ Sardaar Calhoun tied it with two of his game-high 48 points, and the Greyhounds could not get an attempt to fall in the closing seconds of regulation. Moberly led by a point with a minute left in the extra session before going on a six-nothing run to put it out of reach.

Eddie Creal led the Greyhounds with 22. Cortez Mozley had 19 and Markelo Sullivan had 18. Coach Pat Smith said his team was desperate late.
