Boonville’s Ficken One of Two CC Players to Receive an AMC Gold Glove

A Boonville graduate is one of two Columbia College baseball players to receive a Gold Glove Award from the American Midwest Conference. Third baseman Kole Ficken was joined on the squad by Cougar catcher Kenny Piper.

Ficken made just ten errors in 123 chances at the hot corner. He had 63 assists, 50 putouts and was a part of 11 double plays. Piper finished the year with a fielding percentage of .994 behind the plate and allowed just one passed ball. In addition, he threw out 20 base stealers.
