Boonville Man Killed in Crash Monday Night

A Boonville man was killed in an accident on Highway 5 in Boonville Monday night. The State Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Ryan Scott died after a pickup driven by 46-year-old Richard Nichols of Boonville crossed the center line and hit his pickup head-on around 9:20pm. Nichols had moderate injuries and was taken to Columbia. Nichols was booked for DWI causing the death of another, and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash.
