The 44-year-old Bonne Terre woman who escaped from custody while being transported through Randolph County on May 8th of 2019 is looking at the possibility of a 20-year sentence. Randolph County Prosecuting Attorney Stephanie Luntsford says Sadonna Staton entered guilty pleas last week to two counts of first degree assault.
This took place along Highway 24, just west of Moberly.
When she fled the scene, she struck the deputy with the vehicle, then crashed at the intersection of Highway 24 and County Road 1115, before being taken into custody about 20 minutes later. Sentencing will be July 22 at 3pm.
