Boone County Homicide Investigation

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department is trying to determine how a mother and daughter died. Family members reported late Sunday they had been unable to contact 43-year-old Allison Abitz or 11-year-old Jozee Abitz. Their bodies were found inside their home on Lavender Drive, just south of Columbia. Anyone with information should call the Boone County Sheriff’s Office at 573-442-6131 or 311.
