Bonnie Sue Ingram
Bonnie Sue Ingram, 90, of Bowling Green, passed away May 12, 2024, at Lynn’s Heritage House in Louisiana, Missouri.
Funeral services for Bonnie will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green with Pastor Mark West and Pastor Don Amelung officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bowling Green. Visitation will be Monday, May 20, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes and Crematory in Bowling Green.
Bonnie was born December 21, 1933 in Bowling Green to Purley Lee and Nellie (Inlow) Lewis. She was united in marriage to Donald Zane Ingram on June 30, 1951. Donald preceded her in death on November 30, 1999.
Bonnie grew up around McCune Station and lived in the Bowling Green area her entire life. On January 1, 1954, Bonnie and Donald began Ingram Plumbing, where she worked for over 50 years.
Bonnie was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green where she was a Sunday School teacher and served on the Executive Board of Salt River Baptist Association. Bonnie enjoyed her family; especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, mowing the lawn, going to the family farm, and studying genealogy. She took joy in lifting others up in prayer. She was an avid supporter of Hannibal LaGrange College as a donor and as a friend. Bonnie was known as a good cook, and everybody loved her chocolate chip cookies. Bonnie liked to travel and had taken trips to Alaska, Mexico City, and several mission trips.
Bonnie is survived by sons, Roger Ingram (Sharon) of Bowling Green, Bob Ingram (Letha) of Bowling Green, and Donnie Ingram (Gail) of Bowling Green; daughter, Debbie Ingram of Bowling Green; grandchildren: Tina Sprague (Rodney), Amber James (Cory), Ginger Summers (Justin), Derek Ingram (Katie), Ryne Ingram (Lauren), Whitney Smith (Chris), Ashley Ingram (Moya Bennani), and Alyssa Deushane (Daran); 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, James Ingram; sister-in-law, Barbara Jenkins; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; brothers, John Henry Lewis and Orie Lee Lewis; and sisters, Mary Frances Taylor and Shirley J. Hickerson.
Pallbearers will be Derek Ingram, Ryne Ingram, Dustin Bird, Dylan Bird, Johnny Lewis, Matt Taylor, and Ethan Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Taylor, Archie Taylor, Steve Lewis, Marvin Taylor, and Jeff Hickerson.
Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church of Bowling Green or Hannibal LaGrange University.
