Bolivar Resident Named To State Fair Commission

Missouri Governor Mike Parson has named the former CEO of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame to the State Fair Commission.  The governor’s office announced Friday morning that Jerald Andrews of Bolivar would join the commission pending confirmation by the state senate.  Andrews is the president emeritus of the hall of fame based in Springfield, having previously served as its CEO for 27 years.  He was previously an administrator at Southwest Baptist University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree before completing a Master’s degree at the University of Central Missouri.

Andrews will fill one of the three at-large positions on the commission.  The position was most recently filled by Sedalia businesswoman Barbara Hayden.
