Belanger’s Historic Day Lifts Bulldogs As Drury Classic Awaits Truman
Truman guard Hannah Belanger made history Saturday when the senior scored 36 points against Upper Iowa and willed the Bulldogs to a 97-90 overtime victory against Upper Iowa. Belanger tied for the fifth most points in a game by a player in program history. Coach Theo Dean says Belanger and fellow senior Ellie Weltha compete at a high level everyday for the Bulldogs.
Weltha is 13 rebounds shy of entering the top ten for career rebounds in Truman history with 615. The Bulldogs travel to Springfield and will play fifth ranked Ashland (Ohio) tomorrow in game one of two for the week at the Drury Thanksgiving Classic.
