Bass Accepts Another 8-Man Startup Job After North Shelby Resignation

Former North Shelby head football coach Seth Bass found a new home within a week of his resignation. Bass tweeted Saturday he accepted an offer to lead the first-ever Northland Christian 8-man football team. The Kansas City school formed a two-year 11-man co-op with St. Joseph Christian, but the schools cited travel difficulties and low participation when they ended the agreement in October. Northland Christian elected to start its own 8-man program while St. Joseph Christian will return to the 8-man ranks it once dominated. Bass will guide Northland Christian’s inaugural football team after he oversaw North Shelby’s transition from 11-man to 8-man five years ago. Bass leaves North Shelby with consecutive quarterfinal appearances and a 31-23 overall mark.
