The Audrain County Health Department announced on Wednesday a significant increase in COVID-19 cases.  The county’s “community transmission status level” is now in the  “HIGH” category due to this week’s rapid increase.  With 44 positive cases in Mexico and 23 active probable cases, the counties’ past 7 days positive rate is at 11.8% and the new cases per 100,000 persons in the past seven days is currently at 158. With the rapid spread of the virus throughout the Audrain County area are encouraged to wear masks and get vaccinated to prevent the increased spread.
