Audrain County Ambulance District to Host Stop the Bleed Program

A person with a traumatic injury can die from blood loss within minutes. In many cases, bystanders to these incidents are the only help for these victims until first responders arrive. As a result, the Audrain County Ambulance District will hold two “Stop the Bleed’ programs September 14th at their headquarters on 440 Kelley Parkway in Mexico, at 2 and 7 pm. The goal is to provide citizens with the necessary tools to help stop blood loss for the injured until help can arrive. There is no cost to attend, but each session is limited to 30 people. To register for either session call 573-581-1332.
