Audrain County 4-H Members To Represent Missouri At National Meat Judging Contest

A team of 4-H members from Audrain County will represent Missouri later this year at a national meats judging contest.  The team won the senior division of Missouri 4-H’s state meats judging contest last month, Clayton Jennings ranking first individually and Dylan Hoyt placing second.  Four other Audrain County 4-H members finished in the top ten: Aaron Carter, Mason Rohan, Callie Jennings, and Kate Robnett.  Teams from Laclede and Moniteau counties rounded out the top three.  Audrain County’s meats judging team will represent Missouri at the National 4-H Meats Judging Contest this fall at the American Royal in Kansas City.

The junior division saw a team from Monroe County finish third.  Robert Quinn led the way for the team, finishing sixth overall.  A team from Jasper County won the division, with two of its members leading the individual standings.  Lydia Hoyt of Audrain County placed third individually.
