Atlanta Softball Wins Fourth Straight District Title

Atlanta softball won its fourth straight district championship and sixth since 2015 Saturday. First-year head coach Collan Thrasher says this year’s title is much different than in the past.

Thrasher says a lot of credit is owed to Kaidyn Watson, who has filled the ace role in the circle after the graduation of All-Stater and Conference MVP Abbie Farmer.

12-11 Atlanta redeemed a regular season loss with a 6-0 shutout of Meadville in the district title game.

The Lady Hornets travel to face Braymer in the sectional game Wednesday.

Braymer won its third straight district championship this year and enters 19-7.
