Atlanta Boys Return With Expectations After State Quarterfinal Appearance

The Atlanta Hornets boys basketball team were one game away from a trip to the Show-Me Showdown last season. The Hornets fell to Glasgow 64-55 in the state quarters at MACC. Coach Jason White says the returners for the team are motivated to go further this season.

Atlanta graduated two first team all-conference seniors in Landon Gilliland and conference MVP Roman Phillips.

J.J. White and Mason Reed return for their junior year campaign after being selected to the all-conference team last season.

White says the fan support for last year’s run was crucial.

Atlanta opens conference play with three straight road games beginning December 2 at Bucklin/Macon County. You can hear from White and other area coaches on our KRES Tipoff Show Tuesday at 5:35.
