AREA RESIDENTS HURT IN ACCIDENT IN CLINTON COUNTY
A Excello man and Lathrop woman had serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident on I-35 in Clinton County Monday afternoon that injured four people. The State Highway Patrol says around 5:40pm, 23-year-old Skyler Johnson of Macon was merging onto I-35 southbound from Route PP, two miles east of Holt, when he lost control on the wet road. His car crossed the median, drove through the northbound lanes, and hit a minivan on the passenger side. Johnson had moderate injuries, and a passenger, 23-year-old Ethan Pagliai of Excello had serious ones. Both were taken to Liberty. The minivan driver, 57-year-old Robert Young of Lathrop, had moderate injuries. A passenger, 54-year-old Kristina Young of Lathrop, had serious injuries. They were both taken to Kansas City.
