Area Players Reflect On Time At Truman

Saturday could be the final game for some area players that have logged a lot of game time for Truman State. Isaiah Estes of Fayette has played 47 games for the Bulldogs and is 14th on the career tackles list. As linebacker, Estes has also had head coach Gregg Nesbitt as his position coach….
Another former KRES All-Star, Jon Saxbury of Monroe City, is a fifth-year offensive lineman for the Bulldogs. He has enjoyed the Truman experience….
Quarterback Nolan Hair is 3rd in career touchdown passes and fifth in career passing yards at Truman. Hair is glad he got to share his final season with his younger brother, Dylan….
Hair finally got to throw a pass to his high school teammate, Ben Thomas, on senior day. Thomas switched from receiver to cornerback his freshman year at Truman and has been a three-time All-GLVC selection. He is part of a group of seven former Blair Oaks Falcons on the Bulldog roster….
Two other former area standouts have another year of eligibility, but who walked on Senior Day were Ben Miller of Westran and Mason Huskey of Hallsville. Miller has been a two-time All-GLVC defensive tackle, after transferring from Missouri Western. Huskey has made the most of his final year in a Bulldog uniform leading the team in rushing, with 684 yards, and touchdowns, with 11.
Truman will wrap up the regular season at Missouri S&T on Saturday. You can hear the game on KRES starting at 12:15.
