Several area football players have been named to the 2019 Missouri Football Coaches Association All-State Football team. Marceline’s Cullen Bruner was named to the Class 1 first team twice, both as a running back and as a kicker. In addition, South Shelby linebacker Cason Wilt was also named to the Class 1 first team. Area players named to the Class 2 first team were running backs Keenan Batsell of Monroe City and Caleb Lapsley of Clark County, offensive lineman Caden Phillips of Macon, defensive lineman Trevor Bodine of Centralia, and kick returner Bryson Lay of Van-Far.
