Anglers Reminded to Use Best Safety Practices when Fishing on the Missouri River

The Missouri River provides local anglers plenty of fishing opportunities. Fishing can be done on the river by boat. Chariton County Conservation Agent Chris Chesher says there are a number of safety precautions to take while fishing from a boat.

Chesher adds there are several river trends to keep in mind.

Several access points along the Missouri River in Chariton County allow for both boat launching and bank fishing.
