An Accomplice in a Columbia Homicide is in Custody
The accomplice in a fatal shooting in Columbia has been taken into custody. The Columbia Police Department arrested 49-year old Robert Junior Johnson of Columbia early Friday for his role in a homicide that took place May 26th in the 2700 block of Quail Drive. Johnson has been charged with first degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon in the case. The shooting resulted in the death of 36-year old Rod Jamal Jones of Columbia. The Columbia Police Department is calling for public assistance in locating the primary shooter in the case, who has been identified as 38-year old Bobby Dawson of Columbia. Dawson is identified as a black male who is six-foot-one-inch and weighs 180 pounds. He is known to be armed and dangerous. Anyone who comes in contact with Dawson is asked to call 911 as soon as possible.
