ALTRUSA GROUP LOOKS TO MAKE PROGRESS ON WREATHS OF HONOR PROJECT

The Moberly Altrusa Patriotism Committee began a Wreaths of Honor project back in September, and are looking for the public’s help. Altrusa member Janie Riley says it’s a way to honor fallen veterans, specifically resting in Oakland Cemetery.
A ceremony to honor the veterans is scheduled to begin at 9am on November 23rd at the cemetery, and the group managed to sell 90 wreaths last year with a month and a half of campaigning. Joan Snodgrass says the group has lofty goals in the second year of doing this.
Snodgrass says there are other options for those wanting to purchase wreaths.
The wreaths are $20 and they can be purchased through an Altrusa member, the group’s Facebook page, or by calling Snodgrass at 573-999-2932 or Riley at 660-998-0869.
