Agritourism Signage Program Awaits Funding For Fiscal Year 2024

A crucial tool in promoting agritourism destinations across Missouri could finally appear along the roadside over the next year, following updated regulations from the Missouri Department of Transportation.  Agritourism venues are now eligible to take part in MoDOT’s Tourist Oriented Directional Sign Program.  Davin Althoff, Missouri Farm Bureau’s Director of Marketing and Commodities, calls the move a positive development, albeit late in the current fiscal year.

Althoff says the move could prove critical to the success of several venues.

Agritourism venues must meet several criteria before they can qualify for a roadside sign or take part in the cost-share program.  Additional details are available on the Lieutenant Governor’s official website.
