Ag Outlook Conference Marks Debut Of Newest Mizzou Ag Policy Center
The annual Abner Womack Missouri Ag Outlook Conference hosted Wednesday at the University of Missouri’s Bradford Research Center marked the debut of the university’s newest policy analysis program. The Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center was established last month and already has its first study out. Director Sarah Low explains how the center will complement and differ from the objectives of another Mizzou center, the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute.
Low says her center’s researchers will take a different approach to come up with their projections for each state’s farm income levels.
The Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center’s first released report is an outlook of Missouri’s farm income for the next decade. Center director Doctor Sarah Low says her team’s next projects will involve developing models for Nebraska and Texas.
