Two aerators have been installed to help the water supply in Monroe City. The aerators were installed by IXOM Watercare of North Dakota. Monroe City Mayor Jerry Potterfield says the installation process was completed ahead of schedule.

The project was originally scheduled to take two to four months to complete. Aeration is the process of increasing or maintaining the oxygen saturation of water. Potterfield says it will still take time to see whether the new aerators will have an effect on the water supply.’

The cost of installing the aerators was 70,000 dollars, which was covered by Monroe City’s water fund.
