College students from Monroe and Shelby counties have another opportunity to apply for scholarships through their counties’ cattlemen’s association. Tony Francis says at least four additional scholarships are available for eligible students.
The Monroe-Shelby County Cattlemen’s Association launched the scholarships after hosting a fundraiser last March in Madison. Francis explains why the group believed it was important to offer this opportunity.
Applicants must reside in Monroe or Shelby County and are currently a college student or high school senior planning to attend a college or trade school in the fall. The deadline is Oct. 31st. Additional details are available on the Monroe-Shelby County Cattlemen’s Association Facebook page.
