Highway Patrol Looking for Suspect in Shooting at Trooper

The State Highway Patrol is looking for a suspect in an incident in southern Missouri early Sunday, that it thinks might possibly headed through the northern part of the state. Around 1:20 Sunday morning, a trooper tried to stop a white 2006 Escalade in Carter County for failing to signal a turn. The suspect stopped, got out of the vehicle, and fired a gun at the trooper, hitting the patrol vehicle several times, but not hurting the trooper. The driver has been identified as 47-year-old Christopher Storlie. The SUV had Minnesota plates, DWH-273. Storlie may be traveling to Illinois, and has ties to Minnesota. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding the described vehicle or subject is asked to call the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G Headquarters, at 417-469-3121.
