4-H Teams From Audrain, Monroe Counties Prevail In State Meats Contest

A team of 4-H members from Audrain County will represent Missouri at this fall’s national contest in Kansas City, after winning the state contest February 17th at the University of Missouri.  Kate Robnett led the way for Audrain County, as she placed first individually in the senior division, while Callie Jennings was second and Ella Duenke claimed tenth.  A pair of Monroe County competitors also made the top ten, Aubrey Youse in seventh and Gianna Quinn in eighth.  The two led Monroe County to a third-place finish.

A team from Monroe County won the junior division.  Robert Quinn picked up third in the contest to lead the county’s contingent, followed by Cheyenne Morrow in fourth, Colbe Kendrick in fifth, Adam Conley in sixth, and Kaitlyn Chipman in ninth.  Aiden Wimmer of Callaway County claimed top honors individually.

The national 4-H meats judging contest will take place as part of the American Royal.
