31 Projects Benefit From Missouri Soy Checkoff Funds

The new fiscal year for Missouri Soybeans means new funding for 31 research projects aimed at identifying and increasing use of the crop.  Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council chairman Kyle Durham says the two-point-five million dollar investment will help expand opportunities for the state’s farmers.

Durham says several research projects continue looking into additional uses, including not just the bean itself.

Kyle Durham of the Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council says funds for the projects received the approval of the board’s 13 directors after several months of reviewing proposals that were submitted the previous fall.  Farmers are able to read on each project’s progress by reviewing the annual research report.

The complete list of funded projects is available on the Missouri Soy website.
