2022 Spring Turkey Season Could be Challenging for Missouri Hunters

The 2022 Missouri Spring Turkey season will officially get underway Friday with the youth portion of the season. The regular spring season will run April 18th through May 8th. Shelby County Conservation Agent Kevin Lockard says this could be a challenging season for hunters.

While there may be fewer turkeys, the number of hunters in Missouri remains strong. Lockard provides some safety reminders.

Turkeys killed during the spring season must have a visible beard in order to be deemed legal.
