Work crews also brought in multiple bridge spans at the site earlier this week. Dickerson says Norfolk Southern may have bigger plans for the bridge site in the future.

However Dickerson indicates there’s no set timeline to replace the bridge.

Early estimates for initial bridge repairs by Norfolk Southern are three to four weeks. Construction of a more substantial bridge would take significantly longer.
