CLARK MOVES FROM ASSISTANT TO BRASHEAR HEAD SOFTBALL COACH

A familiar face is taking over the Brashear High School softball program. Last month, Chelsea Clark was named the new head coach for the Lady Tigers. She had served as the assistant coach over the past two years. Clark feels her time as Brashear’s assistant coach has prepared her to step into the head coaching position.

While Clark does have experience with this current group, she says she may have to change her coaching style for her new role.

The Lady Tigers are coming off a 13-7 season in 2018, which ended with a loss to La Plata in the district semifinals. Clark is optimistic they can build off last season’s performance.

Clark says a softball camp is scheduled at the end of July to prepare her squad for the season ahead. Brashear is scheduled to open the season on August 30th against Green City.
