MIRANDA WHITE EXCITED FOR FIRST HEAD COACHING JOB AT ATLANTA

The Atlanta Lady Hornets have a new girls basketball coach. Miranda White has her first head coaching job after spending three years as an assistant coach with the Linn County boys and girls basketball teams. White says there are a lot of reasons Atlanta is a great spot to start her head coaching career.

White says she grew up around the game of basketball all her life thanks in part to her father Jason, who is now the boys coach for the Hornets. Miranda says those three years as an assistant coach were invaluable.

White takes over an Atlanta program which won eight games last season. The first year Hornet coach says the group has stayed busy this summer.

There is one trait Miranda likes from this year’s Lady Hornet team, which is a similar one to what her father Jason preaches.

Atlanta will open its season at the Novinger Tournament the first week of December.
