Ken Kujawa broadcast over 1,500 MACC basketball games for our stations, but a few stick out. The latest inductee into the Greyhound Hall of Fame remembers flying down to Poplar Bluff in 1982 where the Hounds snapped Three Rivers 80-game home court winning streak. Kujawa shared a story from later that night.
This season, the Greyhounds did two better by ending Triton’s 82-game home court winning streak in earning their trip to Hutchinson, Kansas.
Kujawa also remembers a game in Hutch that is widely considered the greatest comeback in Greyhounds history. He said the Hounds did get a little help in that 1983 rally.
Ken Kujawa, who was inducted into the Greyhound Hall of Fame during the sports banquet Saturday night, came to our Moberly group of stations from Hastings, Nebraska in 1978. The South Dakota native spent 30 years with our stations. He is presently the director of the Viking Sports Network for Missouri Valley College.
