Top seed Lewis jumped out to a 22-8 lead and cruised to a 72-55 victory over Truman in the quarterfinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Thursday in Edwardsville, Illinois. Lewis had four players in double figures led by their first team all-GLVC performers in Delaney Blaylock with 17 and Player of the Year Kendale McCullum with 16 points, six assists and five steals. The Flyers will take a 12 game winning streak into their semifinal matchup with Drury on Saturday.

Nathan Messer paced the Bulldogs with 12. His four three-pointers gave him 205 placing him 7th on the Truman career list. Coach Horner said his first season as head coach wasn’t easy…

Horner and the Bulldogs wrap up the season 14-15. The ‘Dogs will return three starters, including unanimous first team all-conference selection Brodric Thomas and GLVC Freshman of the year Cade McKnight.
