10/27 Salisbury vs. Maysville softball

Maysville freshman Ashton Willis went 2-4 and hit a walk-off home run to give the Lady Wolverines the Class 1 state title over Salisbury 3-2.

10/26 Fulton at Moberly football

Spartans quarterback Dominic Stoneking 5 carries 200 yards and three touchdowns and 3-6 passing for 24 yards.

10/26 Mexico vs. Centralia football

Mexico’s Dillon Nichols had 262 yards rushing and four touchdowns and added a touchdown catch and a fumble recovery in a victory over Centralia.

10/26 South Shelby vs. Knox County football

South Shelby’s Brock Wood had 311 yards and 4 TD in his team’s win.

10/26 Knox County vs. Norwood softball

Knox County’s Katie Hamlin went 2-4 with a double and single and struck out nine batters in her team’s 9-0 win over Norwood in the state 3rd place game.

10/26 Salisbury vs. Knox County softball

Salisbury’s Bryn Wooldridge struck out 13 batters and went 2-4 in her team’s 5-3 win over Knox County in the state semifinals.

10/20 Salisbury vs. Pilot Grove softball

Salisbury pitcher Bryn Wooldridge struck out 13 and went 3-4 with a home run in her team’s 10-1 win in the state quarterfinals.

10/19 Monroe City at Palmyra football

Monroe City’s Zach Osborn had all 4 touchdowns and 116 yards rushing, to lead Monroe City to a 26-21 win over Palmyra, a share of the Clarence Cannon Conference title, and secure the top seed for the Panthers in their district.

10/19 Centralia at Macon

Macon’s Kevin Edwards rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown, while also grabbing a pick-six on defense in his team’s 37-20 win over Centralia.

10/19 Moberly at Mexico football

The Moberly offensive line received Player of the Game honors as the Spartans rushed for 361 yards and 11.6 yards per carry in a 34-7 win at rival Mexico (Cameron Newcomb, Damon Huff, Nick Long, Tyler Nickerson, and Tyler Webb).

10/17 Meadville at Brunswick/Keytesville Softball

Meadville senior Makenzie Dennis held a potent BK offense to two runs on five hits as the Lady Eagles advanced to the state quarterfinals. Dennis fanned six batters and walked three in a complete game effort. The senior added a two-run single on the offensive end.

10/17 Knox County at Salisbury softball

Knox County’s Katie Hamlin pitched a complete game and struck out three La Plata batters in a 8-5 Class 1 sectional win. Hamlin also contributed three RBIs in the win, including a solo home run in the fifth.

10/12 Kirksville at Moberly football

Kirksville’s Paxton Dempsay threw for 286 yards and 3 touchdowns in his team’s 34-23 win

10/12 Westran at Marceline football

Marceline’s Clayton Stallo rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown and played an integral role in the defense as the Tigers defeated Westran 14-12 to take a share of the lead in the Lewis & Clark Conference.

10/12 Brookfield at South Shelby football

South Shelby senior Brock Wood carried the ball 31 times for 306 yards and scored three touchdowns in the Cardinals 26-18 victory over Brookfield. Wood found the end zone on runs of 76, 83 and 43 yards and also picked off a pass.

10/5 Centralia at South Shelby football

Centralia quarterback John Durant completed 8 of 14 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns and carried the ball another 28 times for 202 yards and two touchdowns in Centralia’s 41-14 Homecoming win over South Shelby Friday night.

10/5 Macon at Brookfield football

Macon’s Kevin Edwards had 16 carries for 121 yards and a touchdown in his team’s 25-14 win.

10/5 Moberly at Hannibal football

Moberly’s Chance Richards rushed for an unofficial 107 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-21 loss at Hannibal.

10/3 Westran at Moberly softball

Moberly’s Maddi Finnell had a four-RBI afternoon in a 7-1 win over Westran.
