FUNDRAISING EXTENDS WRESTLING AND MEN’S TENNIS ONE MORE YEAR AT TRUMAN

The sports of wrestling and men’s tennis at Truman State University have been saved for at least one more season. In May, the University announced the decision to discontinue the two programs in response to dwindling support in core funding from the state. That decision left some Bulldog athletes in limbo. Truman State University will offer 20 intercollegiate sports this year, tied with Mizzou for the most in the state, despite having the third-smallest athletics budget of all Missouri public four-year institutions last year.
