Centralia softball coach Jill Angell resigned Monday after 19 seasons and four state championships. Angell explains the decision.
Centralia reached six consecutive state quarterfinals prior to this season’s 5-2 loss to North Callaway in the district championship. Angell expands on the timing of her resignation.
The four-time state champion head coach discusses what’s next.
Angell guided Centralia to a program-best 29-1 state championship season in 2016. The Lady Panthers won four state titles in six years, including three straight from 2011-2013. Angell’s Centralia team defeated Chillicothe in the 2011 finals, Grain Valley in 2012, and Blair Oaks in 2013 and 2016. Hear a full interview with Centralia’s Jill Angell below.
