BOONVILLE KIWANIS CHILI DAY
The Boonville Kiwanis Chili Day will be held on Wednesday, January 28th at the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church Hall in Boonville from 11am until 1pm and from 4:30-7pm. Homemade chili and pie will be served. Adults are $7 and children 4-7 are $4. Proceeds to benefit local kids projects.

RELAY FOR LIFE MACON COUNTY KICKOFF PARTY
The Relay for Life of Macon County Kickoff Party will be Thursday, January 29th at 6pm at Noland’s Catering. RSVP by January 20th. Anyone wanting to learn more about the American Cancer Society and Relay For Life is welcome to attend. This is a public event and everyone is welcome. Volunteers are needed to fill Leadership Committee for the event as well as those wanting to form teams.

MOBERLY OPTIMIST SPAGHETTI DINNER
The 19th Annual Moberly Optimist Spaghetti Dinner will be held on Saturday, January 31st, from 11am-2:30pm at Zion Lutheran Church in Moberly. Adults are $8, children 6-12 are $3, and children under six are free. Proceeds will benefit Moberly High School Scholarships.

MOBERLY PARKS AND RECREATION FATHER-DAUGHTER DANCE
Moberly Parks and Recreation’s annual Father-Daughter Dance is Saturday, January 31st at the Municipal Auditorium from 6:30-8:30pm. The 2015 Father-Daughter Dance will have the theme: The King’s Ball. Tickets are $15 per father-daughter pair and $5 for each additional daughter. Tickets will be sold at the Moberly Parks and Recreation office until Friday, January 30th at 5pm.

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA BOYS AND GIRLS BASKETBALL
The Randolph Area YMCA invites boys and girls three years old through 3rd grade to come play in their YMCA Youth Basketball League. Each team will play six games on Saturday mornings at the YMCA. Practices begin in January. Come sign up as a team or individual. The cost is $30 for members and $40 for non-members before January 5th, or $35 for members and $45 for non-members after January 5th. SHELBY COUNTY AG NIGHT
Shelby County Ag Night begins at 6pm on Monday, February 2nd at North Shelby High School. Agents from the University of Missouri Extension and USDA Farm Service Agency will present information on new Farm Bill programs. Dinner provided courtesy of Shelby County businesses. There is no cost to attend, and pre-registration is not required. For more information, contact Extension at (573) 633-2640.

HOLLIDAY SCHOOL RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE
The Holliday School will sponsor a Red Cross Blood Drive again on Wednesday, February 4th from 3-7pm.

MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION PRESCRIBED FIRE WORKSHOP
The Missouri Department of Conservation will host a prescribed fire workshop, Saturday February 7th from 9am-3pm at the Knox County USDA Service Center in Edina. Staff will discuss with landowners methods and techniques for implementing controlled burns, safety considerations, proper weather conditions, and creating a burn plan. ANIMAL SHELTER OF LINN COUNTY TRIVIA NIGHT
The Animal Shelter of Linn County will sponsor a trivia night at the Brickhouse Restaurant in Brookfield Tuesday, February 10th. A finger-food dinner prepared by Brickhouse will start at 5:30pm and the contest will begin at 6:30pm. 6-8 people per team, $15 per team member. Raffle prizes awarded throughout the evening. All proceeds will support the Animal Shelter.

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA COMPETITIVE SWIM TEAM
The Randolph Area YMCA invites boys and girls 6-18 years old to come swim on their competitive swim team. They will be competing in many swim meets from October through February. Practices are held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays from 6-7:30pm beginning Monday, September 29th. Children must be able to swim a full length of the pool (25 yards) unassisted. You can register at anytime throughout the season. The cost is $40 monthly for members and $50 for non-members, plus a one-time $25 swim meet fee per swimmer. RANDOLPH AREA YMCA BALLROOM DANCING LESSONS
The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to sign up for ballroom dancing lessons. Private and semi-private lessons are available for singles and couples with instructor Milton Bolzendahl, who specializes in Viennese Waltz, Slow Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, and Tango. The cost is $20 for members or $80 dollars for non-members for six hour-long private lessons or twelve hour-long semi-private lessons. MOBERLY HIGH SCHOOL JAZZ CONCERT
As part of a lead up to the FAFSA Frenzy at Moberly High School, a jazz concert will be held at the 4th Street Theatre on Thursday, February 5th at 7pm featuring a group of nationally known jazz musicians and including the Moberly jazz band. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased at the door. It is open to the public.
